What is the spirit of the places you are drawn to? And what does that tell you about yourself?

I know there are certain places I love to return to: particular towns with particular architecture, gardens with a special feel or a building that has an atmosphere all of its own.

You will have you own places, I’m sure, that have a special resonance for you. Perhaps those places trigger memories, taking you time-travelling to long-ago holidays, or perhaps they simply engage your senses in a way that is very rooted in the here-and-now.

When you are in a place you love, take a moment to consider what makes that place special for you.

What sets off that internal resonance that makes it a place you want to come back to over and over, or that you hold dear in your memory?

And … what does that tell you about yourself? How can you create those things your special places give you in your immediate surroundings? That’s not in an attempt to make you visit those places any less, but a way to bring in the sense of delight they bring into the every day. Because you’re worth it!

There is something about the spirit of place that is worth lingering over!
